What it is

Zeus is an AGPLv3, self-custodial, Bitcoin-only mobile wallet and Lightning node-control app with a point-of-sale mode. You hold the keys. It can drive your own remote LND or CLN node, run an embedded on-device node backed by its Olympus LSP, and issue Lightning addresses through Zeus Pay.

What it is not

It is not a fiat gateway: it is Bitcoin-only with no conversion or bank settlement. It is not a full merchant back-office: role-based staff accounts, refunds, reporting, and accounting exports are not documented. It is not a hosted custodial service; you are responsible for your keys.

How the payment flow works

A merchant runs Zeus in one of a few modes: pointed at their own node (maximum control and work), an embedded on-device node with liquidity from the Olympus LSP (less work, LSP-dependent), or receiving to a Zeus Pay Lightning address. Payments arrive in Bitcoin to a wallet or node the merchant controls.

Getting your money: There is no withdrawal step in own-node mode: funds are already in your node or wallet. In embedded mode, liquidity and redemption depend on Zeus's Olympus LSP.
